For our Everyday Aesthetics assignment, each student was instructed to "Engage in an everyday activity, such as peeling and orange, your walk to school, washing dishes. Craft a response that describes that activity in detail--considering nuances of light, touch, time, affect, imagery, thoughts, distractions, etc.". The everyday activity that I chose was driving my car, a 1996 Lexus ES300. My car, who I call Alexis, was my first car ever and I continue to drive her to this day. To reflect my drive, I took random artifacts from within my car and taped them to a giant frame where everyone could see the contents of my car, including old parking receipts, car freshners, screenshots of my music playing before and after I got to campus. Down below is a picture of my final piece!
